About Me
Hi there! I'm so glad you're here!
My name is Emily Nichols, creator of All Heart Fitness. I am married to the love of my life and we have two little boys who keep us very busy! We have a lot of fun at our house!
In 2015, I needed a change. I was stressed, overworked, the house was always a mess and I was just tired all the time (sound familiar to any of my working mama's out there?) I work for the American Heart Association and was talking to kids and adults daily about the importance of taking care of your heart, but I wasn't practicing what I was preaching. I kept thinking of our oldest son--he was born with a congenital heart defect and has had multiple surgeries to help repair his heart. He didn't have a choice in his heart health--but I did. He inspired me to make a change in order to be a better wife, mom and employee.
As busy working parents, we were stressed. So, my husband and I decided to go all in and try out Whole30. We meal prepped together, read labels together and held each other's hands while taming our Sugar Dragons and waiting for that Tiger Blood to kick in! I was able to lose 10 pounds and my husband lost 14 pounds. However, the weight loss was just a nice side effect...by feeling more in control of our nutrition, we both felt more in control of our lives and were more in tune with how to deal with stress. We now live our own Food Freedom and do our own Whole30 usually 3x a year and we now lead others through it as well.
Our nutritional transformations snowballed in all aspects of our lives. My husband fell in love with running again and is now running faster than he did in high school! I started running as well, began doing at home workouts and weightlifting. In 2016, we started competing in Spartan races together and our 2 boys love to do the kids races as well!
I teach indoor cycling at CycleBar -Traders Point and I also teach Bootcamp at my church in Brownsburg, Indiana. I'd love to see you in class!
I want others to feel as good as I did (and still do) so I decided to pay it forward by sharing my journey and my hope is to inspire and motivate you to take charge or your health from the inside/out. However, your heart HAS to been in it in order to succeed. All You. All In. All Heart.
